Hero4Heroes SS18 - NYFW

For this collection, the designer took inspiration from Antonio Gaudi, the creator of the extraordinary Neo-Catalan style, who single handedly combined Neo-Gothic structures with elements of Maori and Oriental art. The latest collection showed off Marijana's raw talent as a fashion designer; with almost every piece featuring textile collages, embroidery, painterly prints, patchwork and unavoidable sequins, which are always shaped into new mosaics and forms each season.

Staying true to Hero4Heroes signature designs, the SS18 collection was bursting with colour and ornamented with carefully crafted details. The collection featured an array of intricately detailed eye-catching sequin dresses, which were inspired by the colours and patterns of Gaudi’s stained-glass windows.

In addition to Hero4Heroes's trademark multi-coloured designs, the SS18 collection also offered some more pared back evening gowns which were punctuated with small pops of colour and beading.

Marijana says: “Each design is unique; it is an unfinished story, completed by the personality and attitude of the wearer. I want each Hero4Heroes wearer to be her own ‘fashion hero’, to look at herself as a beacon of her own self-expression.”

In addition to womenswear, Hero4Heroes is also known for its colour-drenched Superheroicly bags and shoes.
